Well, one of the first reasons is one that is very important and one you should give careful consideration too:
1) Ask: When the item gets lost or broken in the mail, who ends up dealing with the problem?
Well, a lot of sellers will throw this very inconvenient problem squarely back on you! Claim it's not their responsibility and make you claim back the cost yourself! How fair is that? Not very! It just goes to show how much, or indeed, how low they value your custom and how much they care about customer service!
We at TheFozShop care! We want you to enjoy your buying experience and come back! So if an item is lost or broken, we do ALL the work of claiming from the Royal Mail or Courier and we don't make you wait until Royal Mail have completed their enquiries. Once Royal Mail determines the item is lost - which is 15 days after its expected delivery date (within the UK) or 25 days (Internationally), we REFUND you then CLAIM back!
All we ask from you is that you co-operate with any questions and paperwork that Royal Mail may send you to confirm that the item never arrived! You will long since have been refunded by the time this happens! Simple as that. No Hastle, No Fuss!, Minimal Inconvenience! So next time, before buying from another seller, see what their policy on this is and see if its worth the risk to save a few extra pennies or not. (Though we do our best to be one of the cheapest!)
2) How Much Effort Do They Put Into The Presentation Of Their Listing?
If its not a lot, and is the bare minimum then the chances are they either can not be bothered putting time or effort into it or are too busy doing other things. If they can't spare time on their listings and make them informative and give you all the information you need, then the chances are that they will not put much effort into how they deal with you as a customer! How do you want to be treated? The listing tells you a lot about this!
3) P&P Charges!
How much does it cost to post a Standard Single CD or Software in a standard case? How much for a small paperback book?. Well, certainly not £2 or £2.50 as some I see charge for CDs, DVDs or Software. This is extortionate and unjustified! Look at my P&P charges for these items. I include the cost of postal supplies and incidentals and often my P&P costs are only half of what other sellers will charge!
And don't fall for the cheap Buy It Now price and High P&P costs either! This is simply so the seller can avoid paying higher Final Value Fees to Ebay.
Genuine sellers like TheFozShop make sure their P&P costs are fair and genuine!
